Over the last two years, major attacks on high profile corporations have inflicted damage to business confidence and compromised the data of millions of consumers. Malware attacks such as WannaCry and Petya have demonstrated the capability of both non-state and state-sponsored actors to cause significant disruption across a host of different sectors, exposing a variety of different vulnerabilities.  

At this event, the panellists will discuss how different countries throughout Europe converge and diverge in their cybersecurity practices. Which states and sectors are most vulnerable to cyber attacks and how can we counter digital threats in these critical areas? How can digital skills and security measures be prioritised within educational systems? And what are the main reasons behind the targeting of specific states and sectors by cyber attackers?
