This report, published by the Science and Technology Committee, discusses the Government’s approach to biometrics and forensics.
The report suggests that the Government has an unacceptable approach to deleting images of innocent individuals due to lack of a system to automatically delete such images and those individuals not knowing that they have the right to request that an image of them is deleted. The report also highlights the ethical issues surrounding the use of facial images.
