The British Academy and the Royal Society releases report on data management and governance

The British Academy and the Royal Society finds that today's data governance systems are under pressure from the accelerated pace of change in the nature of data management and data use, the evolving technological context and the shifting meaning of core governance concepts.

This report advocates a renewed governance framework based on a set of high-level principles, as well as the creation of a body to steward the evolution of the governance landscape as a whole, which would aim to encourage the application of these principles across the spectrum of data governance actors.
